This Black History 365 one-day sub plan introduces middle school students to Black resistance movements around the world. Students explore examples from Haiti, South Africa, the United States, Jamaica and the Caribbean, and Brazil while analyzing how people of African descent resisted slavery, colonialism, apartheid, segregation, racism, and injustice.
