This Black History 365 one-day sub plan introduces middle school students to Black scientists, mathematicians, doctors, engineers, astronauts, and inventors whose work changed the world. Students learn about George Washington Carver, Dr. Charles Drew, Katherine Johnson, Dr. Mae Jemison, Garrett Morgan, Dr. Patricia Bath, and Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson while analyzing scientific contribution, problem-solving, innovation, and real-world impact.
